Red shoes in our house.

Each pair has its own story. One pair of little red shoes for our birthday girl, mysteriously never arrived by post. The new ones ordered did arrive but kept going missing and turned up just in time for christmas as if by magic. Another pair has been taken to the cobblers lots of times to be stretched, now the assistant doesn't even charge me or say a word, we just exchange a glance and he just takes them from me for another little stretch, knowing I'm so close and love them too much to give up now. Red shoes are special.

Not my cottage, Its Ruths

Sadly not my cottage. This is Ruth's cottage from the BBC series Edwardian Farm. Filmed at Morwellham Quay in Tavistock, Devon. The robin had flown in and was happy sitting on the old sewing machine. Wonderful place to visit, we had fun dressing up in all the replica costumes.

Hankie window

This post is for my favourite blog this year - 'Fading Grace '. I was inspired by her hankies on a line collection, although I don't know what she did with hers. It was enough to set my brain making my hankie collection into this curtain for my kitchen window - it will let lots of light in and hide the seagull poo. It was also the first time I couldnt thread a needle with out glasses, hence the peeper keepers.

Ok, Lavender pants.

Don't let Christmas be pants. This post is for Teresa. Another little gift, ideal for teachers and friends.
