An orangie post

An orangie post, my allotment, some pumpkin knitting which is an easy rectangle -  the shape is made by pulling the thread around it to make the segments and my beech nut broach a favourite green and glamorous broach. Very easy to make with a beech nut piece of wire, a little green wool and a splash of orange nail varnish. Lastly the lovely orange of calendulas.

Sit and sew my friend

Am sitting and sewing - it's all I can do at the mo. Making use of  time while getting over my op. These are based on a 1940s design  - you could use finer thread , but I've used wool which I wrap round a metal ring and making little french knots for the flowers.
