special mums everywhere.
Mothers day is a very big day in our home, we tried for children for 12 years before adopting two special little people, its been a roller coaster ride that I would not want to get off. That's a fib, I do need to jump off regularly for a rest and some mummy me time, but always ready to jump back on board.Tomorrow they want to blind fold me and take me somewhere in the car. Can't be a wool shop they are closed on a Sunday! I know that I am blessed with a mother in law I admire and a mum of great kindness. But I spend a moment to think of mum's loss and hope for those people the pain one day will get less and happy memories with flood them like light. Celebrating mums in all their forms everywhere.

On with one of my Apron Dress and out with the new natural cleaning books . I'm thinking of doing some workshops from home, so an extra clean is needed.

Dream catchers
To day at work in the children's ward class room in Exeter I made dream catchers with the children this is the one I made, but I think you will agree the kids ones are better. We also had time to make theses simple hair bands by looping fabric strips around a hair band .
one I made in the shop the day before to test them out. Got a bit carried away and the strips were getting longer.
Wonderful dream catchers to hang on there hospital beds. Well done girls.
It is this easy. Jumpers that have been boiled in the washing machine work well. Have fun. x

My magic meaningful moments of last week.
Thanks to one of my favourite blogs hettie brown. After reading her post it got me thinking of what really mattered this week. Always number one, being with my family.
Second having my mum stay for a whole week. Doing all my mending next to me while I tried my hand at making nettle tea, laughing when it made the whole kitchen smell horrid. Thanks mum for being so dear.
Thirdly it felt good to be working in Exeter's city hospital again on the children's ward with some very poorly kids of the bravest kind always a humbling time. I think they teach me so much. Thanks guys and see you next week for more woolly making..
Thank hettie brown for making me take time to reflect.

Carla is a star bringing lots of people from honition not sure how she fits so many in one car, best not to ask.
